In 1985, community voters chose to establish Collin County Community College District as the higher education institution in the county. They envisioned an institution that would strengthen the educational and economic environment for all residents.  

The Collin College Foundation, Inc. was established in 1987. Since its formation, literally thousands of students have received Foundation scholarships. In 2005-2006 the Foundation will provide more than $375,000 in support of students and the college. But the need continues to grow every year.  In fact, the number of students applying for scholarships outpaces the number of scholarships we are able to award.
